Could It Be COVID-19?

Although the common cold, the flu, and Covid-19 all have similar symptoms, we just can’t leave it to chance waiting for these symptoms to change for the better.

Here are a few symptoms for each ailment you might want to keep a close eye on.

The common cold:

  • runny or stuffy nose
  • sore throat
  • low-grade fever
  • cough

These symptoms gradually occur and your child usually will have enough energy to perform daily activities.

The flu:

  • crankiness
  • exhausted
  • fever
  • chills
  • body ache
  • headache
  • cough

The flu symptoms usually strikes suddenly. Your child may seem fine one minute and the next they’re wiped out as if they’ve been hit by a meteor.

Covid-19:

  • fever
  • dry cough
  • headache (sometimes only shows this symptom)
  • runny nose (sometimes only shows this symptom)
  • nausea and diarrhea (with absolutely no respiratory symptom)
  • lose sense of taste and smell (these are spot on symptoms of Covid-19)

No matter what symptoms your child may suffer, the best thing to do is contact your child’s pediatrician for professional advise.
